Summer Holy Grails

This is the summer that I got back into my love for makeup, and the obsession has been unreal, to say the least. I have found many holy grail products that I’m sure I’ll be using for the next few months! Here are my current holy grail products.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

This palette has the perfect shades for everyday looks, but I can also use it for some darker nighttime looks when I’m going out. I find myself reaching for this for everyday looks more than I reach for the original Naked palette or the Naked 3!

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

I cannot say enough how obsessed I am with this palette. I hadn’t owned any high-end highlighters before I got this, and they changed my life. Both Champagne Pop and Presecco Pop are literal perfection and give me the most amazing highlights. The blushes are beautiful too — I hope this palette lasts me a long time because I use it all the time!

Wet n Wild Photofocus Setting Spray

Honestly, I much prefer Urban Decay’s setting spray, but this one works almost just as well and is much cheaper, so it’s what I’m using at the moment.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

I’ve never owned/used an actual Beauty Blender, but I love this so much. It blends out my foundation better than any sponge or brush than I’ve ever used, and is very affordable as well!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

It had been a while since I bought a high end mascara, but I got sick of using drugstore mascara that never really did much for my lashes, so I decided to go to Sephora and pick up the trial size of this one. I am so glad that I did, and will definitely be purchasing the full size of it when it runs out! (Or maybe the waterproof version.) It makes me look like I actually have lashes, even though I barely do.

Wet n Wild Megaglo Contouring Palette in Dulce De Leche

LOVEEEEE. I don’t need to buy any expensive contours because of this one (even though I’m sure I will at some point). It’s the perfect shade!! I never use the “highlight” shade, but I’m sure I could find some use for it so that it doesn’t go to waste.

Maybelline Fit Me! Powder (Matte+Poreless)

I accidentally bought the mattify version even though I have dry skin, because it was on sale and I got too excited that I didn’t even notice. But surprisingly, it’s still worked very well for my skin! Next time I probably won’t get the mattifying one, but I love this regardless. It keeps my makeup looking smooth and doesn’t look cakey at all. It also stays on all day!

elf Lip Exfoliator

I always use this before I start my makeup to prep them for any lip products I use, because just like my skin, my lips get extremely dry and chapped. This is the best lip exfoliator I’ve ever used, and I love that it works just like a lipstick because it’s so easy and quick to use!

Vaseline Lip Therapy

I put this on right after using the ELF exfoliator to let it soak into my lips while I’m doing the rest of my makeup until it’s time to put on any lip liners/sticks/etc. It keeps my lips hydrated!

Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit in Koko K

I cannot emphasize how obsessed I am with my Kylie lip kit. Right now this is the only shade I have, but I recently ordered the Kristen lip kit and the Posie gloss and liner. This stays on my lips for so long and is a gorgeous shade. I probably won’t be buying anymore for a while, just because they’re so pricey, but they are definitely worth it.

L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

This is my FAVORITE foundation I have ever used. I was so excited when they came out with the Pro-Glow version of this foundation, because I had only heard good things about the pro-matte one. Having dry skin, I’ll buy just about any product that is supposed to be good for it. This foundation keeps my skin looking dewy, but not oily. It stays on all day, and doesn’t get cakey. I love it!
